![Years of carefully curated grids have been thrown into chaos with these Instagram updates earlier this year. Instead of perfectly aligned posts, we're left with cropped pictures, cutoff text, and overly zoomed in content, which is hardly appealing to look at!
As tempting as it is to fight this change, we must learn to adapt in order to keep our content revelant and aesthetically pleasing to our viewers. Here's what I recommend you do to the older content on your page. ⬇️⬇️⬇️
Go through your grid and determine which images need to have their previews adjusted. (This could be advertisements, pictures where the focal point is cropped, or any other content you have with cutoff text.)
-Select the post
-Tap [...] at the top of the post
-Tap [Adjust Preview]
-Choose [Fit/Fill] based on preference, and a background to fill in the extra space.
While not ideal, this can be a way to salvage old posts and bring some appeal back to your grid. For future posts, reference this posting guide to see where your image and text should be placed to avoid cropping.
